At Joseph Sterling we are always trying new ways to improve our service to you and welcome any queries or suggestions you may have. 1. How soon will I receive my jewellery?
Please allow two to six weeks between the time you placed your order and receiving it. However if you are needing something in a much shorter space of time please do not hesitate to contact me before placing your order to see if that is possible, we will try where possible to help you.


2. I have seen something on the web site but would like to have it altered slightly?
As each piece of jewellery is handmade to order there is no problem to alter a piece of jewellery to your specification (as long as the design will allow for it i.e. it won't weaken the strength of the setting etc).


3. What is your returns policy?
As each piece of bespoke or altered jewellery, i.e. not altered from advertised look including sizing a ring, is made to order and to your specification, we are unable to offer a returns policy based on anything other than faulty goods. However if you do find that there is something you are not happy with then we will do our best to alter it for you so that you are satisfied.


4. I have a specific stone in mind, are you able to get it?
I am able to get any stone that you could want at any price range. As Joseph Sterling is a member of the London Diamond Bourse and Club, we are able to source any diamond and offer you a substantial saving on any retail store.


5. Delivery for bespoke jewellery
Delivery time will depend on how quickly you decide on a design. Design time would normally take 2-3 weeks then on top of that you will have the time for making it, so allow a further maximum 6 weeks from the date of decision. Normally though it can be done in two.


6. Why should I buy my diamond from Joseph Sterling?
You want to be assured that your purchase is the best possible value for money. At Joseph Sterling you can be certain that you will make substantial savings of up to 40% off High Street retail prices.


7. How can you offer such low prices?
The answer is two fold. Firstly, Joseph Sterling has been involved in the diamond industry for many years and is able to buy directly from source, effectively removing the middleman from the equation. Secondly, not having a shop means no rent or staff wages to pay, enabling massive savings to be made that can be passed directly on to the customer.


8. I don’t know anything about diamonds. How do I know what I’m buying?
All diamonds come with a certificate and report usually prepared by the GIA (Gemmological Institute of America), which lists the 4Cs, (Carat weight, Colour, Clarity and Cut) as well as the proportions of the stone. This report and all the characteristics will be fully explained to you so you will know exactly what you are buying.
