Re-setting a two stone diamond engagement ring seemed like a complicated and time consuming job, until we met Lewis Malka. We were looking for someone that was a) prepared to do a re-set, as not all jewellers will b) that we felt would truly retain the old fashioned style of the ring and yet re-make it in a more up-to-date setting and c) someone that we felt confident would deliver quality for a fair price and within the timescale required. Our lengthly search of trawling through the internet, making phone calls and visiting shops was getting us nowhere until we typed "re-set engagement rings" into Google. We came across an entry for Lewis.

Firstly, via his own website JosephSterling.com and secondly, via a one-stop wedding shop called Wedding Jigsaw which reaffirmed our initial positive thoughts we had when viewing Lewis's web site originally. We liked the fact that Lewis had started his career as an apprentice and had grown his own business. It made us feel secure that he was dedicated to his craft and had enough experience behind him to fulfil our wishes. Other than that, the only thing we had to go on was the design of his website and the pictures of his previous designs, both of which we liked very much.

Our initial discussions were based on two options. Either keeping both stones on the new ring or, split the stones up with one on the ring and the other on a pendant. The generous size of the stones and the bonus of having two pieces of jewellery rather than one was the deciding factor. Lewis was great to deal with. He was honest, fair and patient throughout the whole design process. He produced the most beautiful solitaire engagement ring and a stunning pendant to match. We were impressed with the quality of his craftsmanship and the speed in which he was able to carry out the work. It was a lovely surprise to be wearing the new jewellery weeks before we had anticipated. Thanks very much Lewis. We will be back!

After months of searching, I finally decided on the style of engagement ring I was looking for but did not know where to go from there.
